Overdraft Protection

Overdraft Privilege

This service is made available to qualified checking customers 30 days after an account is opened. If you opt-in for Overdraft Privilege1, we will generally pay your overdraft items up to $500; however, we reserve the right to unilaterally refuse payment of any item without advance notice to you.

When we pay overdraft items, you will be charged our normal NSF (non-sufficient funds) fee, currently $32, for each item paid.  Both the amount of the overdraft and all applicable fees, including but not limited to the $32 NSF fees, are included in this limit. The Overdraft Privilege is available for all checks you write (or authorize) and ACH items.  You may bring your account to a positive balance within 30 days from the date it became overdrawn.

Cash Reserve Account

With this personal line of credit, whenever you have an NSF item, we will automatically transfer funds from your Cash Reserve Account to your checking account, up to the amount of your credit limit.

Applications are subject to credit approval.

Linked Accounts

Upon request, you can link your checking account to another Surrey Bank & Trust account. If you should have an NSF item, we will automatically transfer funds from the linked account to your checking account.
